Yeah, I think so too. Bud's going to check it out for me.

My wife and I must have looked at 50 boats. She liked several but the Westsail was by far her favorite.  We spotted Satori on Bud's website and made a rather hasty trip to see her. After 10 minutes my wife just looked at me and said the search is over. After thirty minutes we had to go to catch the plane. Bud flew down for the survey and she was ours.

Just remember these boats are "experienced" (ie old!) and most need some kind of updating. Buying a big boat is just like buying a house. A big step for most to take. Just go. I had to wait for the kids to finish school and just before leaving I had my first heart attack. After the third I had to give up.  The new owner Randy has finished her refit and I am so proud she will soon be going "out there". I still love that boat. My wife is still grieving over selling her. Just jump in and live the life. There is none better. Ken

Thanks Ken,   I've done a lot of things in my life, adventureous things, but the one thing that I've wanted to do since I was a kid, was take a sailboat to the South Pacific. I really didn't think about circumnavigation until a little later. I'm not planning a circumnavigation, rather a plan to cruise the SP. Around the world might happen, but first things first. I might end up with her in Thailand, That's where I live, kind of, my Thai wife and I own a restaurant on a beach in the Gulf of Thailand, I work in in Afghanistan, I'm home in Thailand about 3 weeks out of every 3 months. I haven't been back to the States in 3 years, but I'm going to buy my boat in the U.S., get her ready in the U.S., and leave from the the U.S. We'll sell the restaurant in about a year and a half to two years. I plan to do this for about another year or year and half. After we set up another venture I want to do, we'll go.

Sounds like a plan Sam :) good luck!
I bought my W32 from broker, but without survey. and from afar. Just asked a lot of pictures and made my mind. Now we are looking to W42.  Okeanos with added crew of Giant Schnauzer becoming too cramped. But dog love cruising and I feel she is safe to walk on deck even without any netting. Great boats!
