“Gitana del Mar”  a Westsail-32, hull # 304 is for sale in Sarnia, Ontario. We are the original owners (yes, for over 36 years) and she was build for us in Quebec City by Canamarine, a boat builder like Westsail, who are now both long gone. Canamarine bought bare hulls and decks with rudders in place and then completed the boats in Canada under a Westsail licensing agreement. (not sure how many they did build)

“Gitana del Mar”  spend two years in Southern Florida and the Bahamas (1978-1980) and has been in fresh water since. Under used for the past decade, she has been a fine floating cottage with an occasional fair weather sail but we have now lost interest. Debbie is off work with a disability and I have ongoing cancer surgery side effects.

Strange at this may seem, everything is original including sails and the Westerbeke W-40 has never needed any attention other than regular oil and filter changes. She needs a lot of upgrades plus tlc but finance wise we can not afford to maintain, upgrade and keep her. This should make her an ideal candidate for someone to refit her to it’s new owners specs, desires and long range cruising dreams.

Please don’t let the $ 24,900 list scare you off. It’s meant to keep any ‘fender kickers’ at bay.

    Why the low price?

While she looks very pretty she needs a lot of upgrades.

Re-read the above and you'll understand. Original sails and everything else but very ideal for someone who can do all the work themselves and have the financial means to do so.
