As tradition would have it 3rd. week in May . This time , Alamitos Bay Marina . It will be on g'way 33 basin 3 . I just moved onto that dock and many slips are empty , so we will all be together .There are really good restaurants of all types within walking distance . So we can work out something there , or my choice, all about the boats and pot lucks  and some burger bashes . And of course my famous bloddymarys , you just can't have one ask Kern .

So let's keep 3rd' week in May alive . Give me a ringy dingy . I mean a email .

All it take is two Westies and a sixer ....

    Here are the requirements :

When you arrive check in at the Harbormasters office ... You must provide a photo ID , boat registration , a copy of your insurance policy ( 100 K liability ) , and fork over $ 1.18 per foot per  LOA . and sign a really annoying guest policy agreement .

The Harbormaster's phone # is 562 570 3215 , anyone in the office will be able to help just say Westsail rendezvous .

These will be 40' foot slips , you are allowed 44' 11" , I don't know what a 42-43 is , so you guys might have to end tie .

    For your $ you will receive a slip , a 30 Amp power hook up and a water spigot ( I have a hose ) .

Primo slips that you should request are : Gang Way 33 ,  slips 1506 , 1510 , 1512 ,1514 , that's my side the other side in front of me are : 1505 , 1511 , 1513 , 1515 . There are others available , but these will keep us close .Basin 3 G' way 33 is down by the Marina Shipyard .

For those of you that will be coming by car  the address is Long Beach , Alamitos Bay Marina , 6460 Marina Dr . Ca. 90803 that will put you right in front of G' way 33 . don't park in the red zone .

On Sat there will be a Captain's meeting on my boat  slp. 1508 , around 10ish over libations  and we will decide stuff .

I would like to hear from anybody if you would like to give a talk on anything Westsail related . Please check with me first .

I 'm planing a talk on how to construct a wood shell turning block , a information packet with drawings will be provided and it's freeeee.

OK ,  keep me posted .

I talked to the harbormaster , and even after my pleading they will not let a W42-3 in a 40' slp. However there are end ties fairly close , just not on g'way 33 . So that is a bummer . If you have a W42-3 and are planning to attend please contact me sooner rather than later so we can get you the best spot .
