It's a good time to plan a date to Westsail in 2014. At the risk of being accused of being  a bossy old fart, here are the "rules". There shall be no words allowed such as: maybe, someday, but, if only, gee i want to, if my back didnt hurt, my partner wont let me, etc. 

         Here are a few suggestions:

                                           - Sail on January first 2014 (Dave K. must do)

                                           - Set a departure date for extended cruise

                                           - attend a rondezvous 

                                           - An overnighter to a nice anchorage

                                           - Take family members for a sail

                                           - Help another owner in exchange for a day sail

        Your reply to this post will have a definite date (within two weeks) and if you don't go we will all know and you will know that we know.

I'm going to dig deep and do the best I can, realizing, of course, that a future is always a bit variable.  After the new years day sail I see Saraband out on the water, goin somewhere, AT LEAST another 51 days in 2014.

We have set a date, October 15 2014, to leave Breton Bay and the Chesapeake for 4-6 months of sailing in the Bahamas. Marty loves a plan, and has been steadily focused on renovation for the past two years.  Air Head compost head just installed, electric windlass installed, pressure water system. We are looking at dinghy options, including our old Walker Bay, and researching propane outboards- has anyone used these? Looking forward to Chesapeake rendezvous in September. -Mimi
