can someone tell me the width of a 32 at the boom gallows.  I am 1000 miles from the boat and want to get some pieces together for a bimini for our trip next winter.

    thanks!!!

Mine's about 73" outside to outside (hull # 468). The biggest factor is going to be your mainsail sheeting arrangement, Rich. Are you looking to do a true "Bimini" (with SS or aluminum frame) or just something to keep the sun off while sailing, or some and awning for on the hook or at the dock?

What all measurements do you need? Cockpit deck to boom? Cockpit well to boom? There are a lot of variables, depending upon you application.

Thanks for the help everyone.  What I am looking to do is get some sailing shade for our upcoming Bahamas trip this next year.

We have a full length awning that is great, but is only useful without us using the mainsail. It should be noted that our main is boom-less and sheets to tracks on the boomkin.  We have a dodger and need a bimini aft that is high enough to let the main sheet under it.

I am not sure I want to spend a whole ton of money on it, so I thought I would buy a second hand one and mount it aft.

Thanks for the help with measurements everyone.

Rich:  Main is boomless?  Do you have images for how this works out - sounds unique...
