    Hi everyone-
I've been a lurker for a little while now and a 32 owner someday. Currently living in Park City, UT- growing up in the San Diego. 1st learned to multi-task (& sail!) launching a Sunfish through the surf as a kid. Got to learn a little woodworking too making a rudder and centerboard when a wave showed me how to sail backwards onto the beach!
Dream grew and got a 32' Ferro boat (Hartley 32?) in my early 20's back in the 80's. Lived aboard and tackled so many boat projects that I wish I kept a notebook and could look at it now. The guy that built it in southern England sailed it solo around South Africa, across the North Pacific and arrived in San Diego where he settled in. A story like that had me hooked.
But, the demands of the boat were well ahead of my finances then so I sold it and have been in Utah for the last 25 years.
Now I find that the sailing bug is back and thought I'ld come out to San Leandro and get a closer look at some Westsails!
    Looking forward to it!
    Dick

Welcome!   I hope you find a good one when the time is right.  Many great westsails out there for sail these days.

I enjoy the blog Tate! Thanks for letting us share a bit of the experience of a thorough refit!

And Jay, I'm hoping that I'll be able to start chasing down some opportunities soon. I am a building contractor and think I have some of the skills to pull a boat back from the sidelines. But a boat with a short ttd list would be difficult to resist!
