I recently installed the capehorn windvane on my WS 32 and need to run the control lines. My question is where on tiller should it attach?  The instructions that came with it are not that clear. Appreciate any advice.

    Thanks Jim

On W32 Sea Breeze the control lines for the tiller are attached to the tiller 16 inches ahead of the rudder housing.   Actually they come up from the quadrant blocks, to two blocks attached to the boomkins, then to two small blocks at 16 inches, one on either side of the tiller, and then forward a bit to jam cleats on the tiller..

As Joe said 16” is about the normal location.  But you might play around a bit.  I found I got more power by moving the mounting location to around 18/20” with my Monitor vane.

Appreciate the comments. I’ll need to add a rail between stern pulpit and boom crutch to get it mounted there. I lashed a couple blocks to boom crutch to try it out. Still have not done that yet. Was pretty sure that was too far forward but had a few people with Aries canes telling me that would be right?

    Anyway thanks again for replying.
