Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum but have fallen in love with the Westail 32's i've seen a ton for sale here and there but have gotten no responses to my e-mails. I'm in the Navy and currently deployed so anyone that has something close to Gulfport MS with lots of pictures i would be initerested in. i'm looking to retire from the service soon and this has always been the dream of my wife and I and hopefully we can make it happen in a Westsail 32.

    Thanks Everyone

    Toby

Toby:  Thank you for your service in the Navy for these many years.  I'm surprised you have not a return email from your inquiries.

I assume you have checked out the Westsail Forum > For Sale area as well as Westsail Info > Boats for sale... where there are multiple links to Bud Taplins web site, Yacht world etc.

Welcome to the WOA site and do keep in touch...

    Toby,

There is a W32 that is coming up for sale in Port Arthur, TX.  I talked with the owner a week or so ago at the Texas Westsail rendezvous.  I am out of town now , but can give you his contact information on Monday when I am back in So Cal.

    Hi,

Check out Namu, a Westsail 32' right in Glufport, Miss. Its on Bud's website.
We were interested in this vessel and spoke to the owner, Jarvis, but are still looking for a 32 on the left coast.

    Best of luck!

    Toby,

Only e-mail I have for him is flyingironman1@aol.com. I seem to remember that I had some difficulty reaching him on e-mail too. You might try again and just let him know about your deployment.

    Hope it works!

He indicated it was a factory boat originally owned by a man from New Orleans who had intended to cruise, loaded up lots of parts and spares and then never went. He was having the engine worked on, a Perkins 4-108 but didn't say what the specifics were or why. Sounded like it is a pretty solid basic boat and electronics might need updating. Also, he indicated that the move to the marina in Gulfport was to have her in a more protected place. Wish I could tell you more and we did not see her in person.
