    1979 Westsail28

We have owned the boat for about 5 years. The previous owners did a lot of upgrades and NEVER used the boat! Such as:

    • Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine (approx. 300 hours now)
    • Newer electric panels
    • Replaced SS fuel tank
    • Installed Raymarine E80 chart plotter (Works Great/2015 card)
    • True Charge Battery Charger

     The boat also has:

    • Auto Helm 2000 auto pilot
    • Furlex 200S furler
    • Barient wenches
    • Groco raw water strainer
    • Arco solar panel (85w?) Old but still seems to work well
    • Pressure water pump (cold water only in head & galley/ hand pump in galley also)
    • Custom cabinets in V-berth
    • CQR anchor 35# w/ 35' chain & 150' rode on bow
    • Fortress anchor w/ rode
    • Manual windless (ABI?-solid bronze and works good)
    • Origo 3000 alcohol stove
    • Whisker pole
    • All batteries 3 years old and in good shape (2 house/1 starter)
    • Standing rigging in great shape (Sta-Lok cable terminals)
    • Running rigging in good shape
    • TillerclutchX Tiller clutch 3 years old and works great
    • New custom sail cover for staysail
    • New custom sail pack for mainsail
    • Fixed mast steps
    • Very nice track mounted folding swim ladder
    • Large Force 10 grill
    • 24” Life ring & mount
    • Mainsail, staysail, Yankee and a light air headsail
    • Staysail has boom & Fico traveler
    • RARITAN Manual Toilet (rebuilt 1 year ago)
    • Lots of spare engine parts, filters, etc.

The anti-skid on deck was professionally done 3 years ago (Aulgrip epoxy)

Most of the bright work  (bowsprit, cap rail and side trim) was just done this summer (AulGrip Aulwood, 7 coats)

The only thing I am aware of that need addressing:

    • VHS power button is broken
    • Signet knot log in cockpit is not reading (we always used the chart plotter to see speed)
    • The main sail has a small tear toward the head and needs to be repaired. Other than that, all the sails are in very good shape
