Must have been a act of desperation .

This is kind of depressing . To think one of our own would go for so cheap . On the bright side someone got a unheard of  deal and maybe we will have a new member .

Wow, I was thinking it must be a typo, if not it's the steal of the century! Hell, just the equipment on board is worth way more than that...

No doubt, gonna need some fixin' up . But come on $ 3,950. ? My friend that sent me that stopped by the boat last night , he told me it sold at a estate sale . So obviously someone wanted it gone quick . Yet it was listed with a broker so that doesn't really make sense . Hopefully we will hear from this person , or maybe the guy is a flipper and we will not . My hope is that some young people get it restore it and go cruising .

I did get an email from the buyer, and he is planning to do a restoration on the boat. She has an original 3 cylinder Volvo, not running.

You've got that right!  Amazing deal.  Mine was a total mess and derelict on the hard and I paid $9300 and now have ten times that invested in it.   Whoever got it can get it ready for cruising in a year or so of hard work and some new equipment, e.g. new engine, upgraded electronics, electrical plumbing, deck work, and perhaps sail repairs.  Had this boat been available in 2005 I would have jumped on it like ticks on a hound dog!   Hope he or she joins the group so we can follow the rehab.  -Tom Koehl
