I've only pulled the mast once. To free the pin, I drilled several small holes into the aluminum sleeve and sprayed PB Blaster into the holes. After several days and some working of the mast back and forth with the shrouds  loosened, the pin came free.

Mine was frozen solid too when I pulled the mast.  3lb sledge, a LOT of pounding, and a small propane torch finally did it.  With the hammer, I hit the pin back and forth (Port/Starboard) until I got it to budge a little in one direction. Once it moved, it didn't take much to get it the rest of the way.

I boogered up the old one so bad that I had to buy a new one from Bud.  I slathered it with Tef-Gel before reinstalling.

in 1997 I shipped the boat from Fl. to Ca. the pin was stuck.I used a.sawzall between the outside of  the mast and the inside of the tabernacle, with room for the blade,to get the mast out. In LA I used a sawzall and cut the weldet-in Alum. tube and the pin on the inside of the mast and the short ends of the pin came out easy with a drift and hammer. I cleaned the the exess of the alum. tube on the inside of mast and wedged a black PVC pipe inside and made a new pin with more clearance 1/16?or more and 2 large cutter pin holes to hold the pin in place. My tabernacle is SS and I use thick nylon washers to centre the mast,so the saw blade was no problema.
