Hello, I have a question regarding installing my mast step.  Keep in mind this is a new boat.  I have the mast platform as do all westsail 32's, I also have small indentations on the hull that I suppose mark the places for the bolts for the chainplates, problem is if I center the mast between the upper chainplates, the mast step is about 2" forward of the center of the platform. I would think that being cantered on the chainplates as being the most important. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend centering it on the upper chainplates.
