    HI Bud!

    I am new to this forum so please excuse me if I am in the wrong place.

    I tried to contact Kern Sails the other day but all I got Was a message saying 

    the number you have reached is no longer in service. Have they changed there number?

    This is the number I tried. (949) 645-7741.

    Jim: The number (949) 903-5376 might work. I also tried his url and the web page is blank...

    Hopefully Bud will have more data?

    Thanks for the info! I'll try this tomorrow! I,am in dry dock until spring. If I can get hold of Kern I would like to get my stay sail recut before going back in. If I can't for some reason, do guys have any recommendations where else to go?

    If you want the best then there is no other than Carol Hasse at Port Townsend sails. She made our sail 35 years ago and they are still in great shape. 

    She is world renowned so her loft is busy so you'll be in line. She is also a wonderful sailor and person.

    Kern made me sails in 2013, nice.


    The number I had for him at that time was (949) 903-5376.

    Wow! I totally forgot to to update you guys! The number Jay gave me worked like a champ! I didn't try the Email so I can't say if it works or not but the number (949) 903-5376 does. I got in touch with kern and after a brief conversation he said I didn't need to recut my stay sail! Just lose the boom. Which is great since I wasn't looking forward to the costs of shipping from Alaska to California and back. Thanks to everyone for your help. Its great having you guys around!   JP...
