I have a pretty good record of previous Westsail owners and boats, so contact me directly by email with your questions. bud@westsail.com
Hi Bud, My brother Kevin Fahey just bought Ellipsis from Ken Schatz and Jackie Hinckley. She was splashed in Marina Del Ray Puerto Rico by Kevin Dec 7, 2013. I went down for 8 days and helped him get her ready, and Ken kindly gave up 3 days of vacation and flew down to help Kevin complete the readying. Unfortunately the winds were so strong and the chop was so rough Ken had to go back before they could do the sea trials. Please feel free to add Kevin's name to your registry and invite anyone to contact him. Here's what I posted in his bio;
Kevin Fahey (60) owner and buyer and Brian Fahey (62) co-owner bought Ellipsis from Ken Schatz and his wife Jackie Hinckley recently, just wanted to let the org know the boat's status. Kevin will live aboard, brother Brian will live in envy in Pennsylvania. Kevin owned a (Pearson?) 37' coastal cruiser many years and sailed @ Chesapeake on weekends and vacations and/but is new to his new cruising lifestyle. Anyone wanting to contact Kevin they can email him at 1kevinfahey@Gmail.com or ring him up when he's near civilization at 570.204.6148 Sorry that I don't have her hull number available right now, but suffice it to say; Ellipsis is very loved and appreciated... Thank you Ken and Jackie for taking such good care of Ellipsis and thank you most for passing the torch.
Thank you, and I remain,
Respectfully,
Brian
Oh, the point of this post is, we have a very rotted wooden propane locker bolted into the odd shaped rear railing opening- is there a pvc locker made that can hang off the side rails? Are there any other options or opinions on this placment or type of locker? By-the-by, the granny bars & mast base area are where extra fuel is stored for extended travels.
Thank you very much,
Brian
