Hatch replacement

    I'm going to replace the forward and stern wooden hatches I'm my 42. Does anyone know what size will fit? Also suggestions on  what brand to buy?

    If you care considering non-wood hatches...

    The Lewmar (aluminum/lexan) has a size that will fit the openings.

    Richard over at Newfound Metals has been planning some stainless deck hatches to match his portlights, in the same sizes as Lewmar. I don't know if he has started production however.

    I am replacing all four of the hatch on my 43 right now. I'm replacing with Lewmar Ocean series 60s on the forward and aft hatches and 70s on the two center hatches. They are just a little shy of the current opening so I will have to glass in a little bit of extra wood to the existing trim. I will try to post some pics when the project is done. BTW the Lewmar 77s would work on the center hatches but they are a lot more, and there is a long wait to get them.
