These blocks started out made by South Coast with plastic cheeks . Cheeks were replaced with  Teak . I used the original snap shackle (#3 Merriman) and snatch latch and sheave . I made the straps from brass , note that they are screwed together at the ends , for easy disassembly . Also there is a stand up shackle at the bottom .

Blocks are 6" in length , will easily pass a 1/2 line .
