Ahoy! It was W32 Constanza. She surprised us too as we didn't see her at the rendezvous but had obviously heard about the filming we were doing and joined in. She was looking good!

    Cheers,

Thanks Randy , yes she is looking very good . After taking a harder look I'm still thinking what is that boat ? Wood spars OK I get that , I love them I have them well at least my staysail boom . My main boom is up next . I'm going to take a guess , it's a Kendall with a re designed house ? How did I do ?

That was Bob Kingston - very unusual boat - original owner did all the interior work.  Here is an album over the years...

I let him know about the Westsail parade as he wasn't able to make it on Satruday...

I thought you were talking about our boat. I wonder how many black hulled westsails there are.

Greg: Is there advantages of the Black hull?  Seems it would be hotter in the sun...

    Looks good though for sure.

It was done by the previous owner. I think they really did a nice job with the awl grip. It looks great but hard to maintain as I think it shows scratches from the fenders and my initial attempts at docking. I do still get complements on it though. The negatives are that it doesn't show up very well on the water as far as other boats avoiding you. I haven't noticed any change as far as temperature compared to our previous boat which had a white hull. I have yet to try out the actual awl grip product to clean it.

    Thanks

    Greg
