    Hi,

So I'm the proud new owner of an old '74 Westsail.  Got it for free in Salem, Or.  About to transport it to Astoria where I will be doing  a refit on this puppy.  I want to get it in the water ASAP to save some money storing it on land.  Anyone ever put bottom paint on in less than 60 degrees F?
Anyhow excited about this project and I'll be posting pics and my progress on her soon.

    Cheers mates!

    Justin

    Congrats

I hope you enjoy her as they are fine boats. I cant imagine painting in 60 degree weather but it may be possible - just read and then read more about painting. Here in Olympia people have stored there boats up on the hard and no one has been painting for almost a month now. I assume its due to weather.

Cant wait to see photos. :)

Justin:  Welcome aboard!  If you can give us a vessel name and/or hull number - maybe we can dig up some information from the past.

Look on the aft stb side for the number.
