Westsail 32 - Battery pockets

    I'm 2 hours away from Pygmalion so maybe someone could advise.

    I have the engine room liner and there are 2 battery pockets - the question is if a type 27 will fit inside the pockets - with a battery box.

    Could someone measuer the length of the pocket -- seems the Type 24 is 12 inches and type 27 is 13 inches.

    Hi Jay,

    The molded in battery tray on Rhapsody measures 16" x 7 11/16" inside dimension.

    Forgot to add this. I have a 13 1/2 " battery box that sits in the tray with room to spare. It appears that a Group 31M will fit. The dimensions on the Sears Die Hard 31M Platinum AGM Battery for instance are 13" x 6 4/5".  Almost the same as the Group 29HM wet cell at 6 3/4" wide.

    Update- the type 27 battery box and battery fit into the pocket nicely with about an inch to spare - don't think a type 31 would have fit.

    9/2/18 update -- Werner is correct -- the Duracell 31DTMAGM battery fit in the Battery case that also fit into the Battery pocket on Pygmalion #567...
