    Hi Bud,

I'm facing perhaps the biggest but certainly the most expensive project - repowering of Namaste. Looked at both Yanmar and Beta options and leaning towards Beta 30, or should that be Beta 25?

I'd love you to be able to help me with the installation but unless you happen to visit South Australia this is rather impractical. However, do not despair, you can still help me with the practical information ;-)

I'd be very grateful if you can share your experience and advise on the best engine model to fit, any installation tricks, bedding, exhaust type/design and whatever else comes to mind.

    Thanks Bud!
    Cheers,
    Voytek

I will send the info to you by email.  I would recommend the Beta 25, as I have installed them in other W28's, and they fit fine and have plenty of power.  The Beta 30 would be too much power, and you would not be able to slow the boat down at idle.

    I have a Beta 20 in my WS28 and at 2400 RPM I am doing 5 knots.  3000 pushes past 6.
