Join us on the dock for registration and refreshments at the dock where you will receive your over-night slip and gate-key.

9 am – Noon: Boat arrivals and visiting.

Noon – 5 pm: Bud Taplin gives his infamous two-beer surveys, answers questions and prowls the docks and boats with ideas and insults galore…  Lots of visiting and ogling.  We may also have some tee shirts, decals, hats, and other stuff from the WOA for sale.

5pm  - 7 pm Happy hour with slides of boat projects and bay cruising during the last year in the SLYC.

7pm Dinner at the San Leandro Yacht Club.

Coming and Going…

If by sea:
San Leandro Channel: The approach is pretty straightforward but remember: YOU MUST STAY INSIDE THE CHANNEL MARKERS. Unless you want to hang out in the mud until the next tidal change. The marina entrance is at 37 40.30 Lat, 122 13.29 Long. After entering the marina area, turn left into the marina itself. We will monitor channels 16 and 68.

At low mean tide (0.0 ft.) the marina has about 2.5 to 3 feet in the shallowest area by the fuel dock Consult local Tide information for the exact time and depth.  We are advised that the channel and harbor has been dredged to about 5 - 6 feet.

If by land:
Exit the 880 Freeway at Marina Blvd. Exit west. Continue on Marina Blvd. and bear left at the Y going into the marina. Turn right on Mulford Point Drive for the San Leandro Yacht Club, which is the first building on the left. Look for the Westsail flags flying on the boats. There are gates at the docks, so call the host owner or wave us down and someone will let you in. For out-of-towners, the Oakland Airport is very close. The San Leandro Marina Inn is directly on the water next to everything. They can be reached at 800-786-7783.

The more boats, owners, crews and enthusiasts to attend, the better the event will be.
