the...Westsail 43

There are only 65 Westsail 43's in the world.

In the late 1970's Hal Roth in Cruising World described the 43 as one of the best boats he'd ever sailed. For a traditional design, the 43 brings luxury to the cruising sailor. Few boats carry have as much volume as the 43 even when you get to boats in the 50' range.

Owner Comments:

Once we discovered the Westsail 43, no other boat would do, and this after three years of researching and looking at boats.... She indeed gives a Cadillac ride. The first time we took our W43 for a sail in steady 35-knot winds and five-foot seas, the only word that came to my mind was “Smoooth!”

One doesn't find many ladies that meet all the checklists you prejudicially use....She must be beautiful, well built, well bred, expensive, forgiving, talented, tolerent, determined, and above all, fleixible enough to put up with constant changes in plans and places. For me she was born on a windy day, far surpassing any of these requirements.....The first Westsail 43 Bacchanal finally touched salt water and I fell in love. - Jim W43 Bacchanal.
